Hi
I have the baby loop and working through installation.
Can I ask please what is the minimum recommended length of RG213 or similar that should be used between the ATU and the Loop?

Hi, Robert,
There is no minimum length, indeed, there is no need to be concerned about the length of coaxial cable at all. If you took your controller out to your loop and used the shortest length of co-ax you had, you would still find that the controller would tune the loop perfectly well. Indeed, provided that the loop is mounted in a reasonable location and thus its SWR across the amateur bands is low, since at resonance the loop impedance is resistive there is no need for an ATU. Most modern transceivers will work perfectly well into any load that has an SWR less than 2:1, and in most cases the SWR is usually less than 1.5:1 except at the extreme high frequency end of 10m.
